The vet had 2 more boxes of the vaccine from the same batch. He had one or
two (I forget) reactions as well but according to Merial there were no
problems with that batch.

Possibly you didn't understand or are not familiar with ordering Purevax -
the vet orders this directly from Merial. There were no distributers and I
trust that my vet would have taken the appropriate precautions with shipping
vaccines. The reactions also happened in late November when it is typically
in the 30s and 40s outside during the day and colder than that at night.

I have heard of others having reactions with Purevax as well. There was even
a ferret in the initial clinical trials that reacted. Unfortunately, IMO, it
is not the "bulletproof" vaccine the ferret community was hoping for.
