In humans extreme calcium intakes cause problems if they are done repeatedly for long periods, and I suspect it may be similar in ferrets because of a recent discussion I had with two vets -- i.e. a rare concern. I was wondering if in ferrets as well as humans high-normal calcium intakes may reduce the risk of colon malignancies.
We have had one often swipe berry flavor calcium tablets at times for years now and eat small bits; she is still hale and hearty -- very athletic, actually.
Tums, like many alternatives, are just flavored and colored calcium, right? That is the premise i am using here.
