As far as I know, no, there is not becuase a healthy ferret who is eating and drinking right gets enough electrolytes normally. It does make sense to give it now and then, though, to keep them knowing that it is an acceptable thing to drink.

It is used when there is risk of dehydration starting or progressing but the individual is not serious enough for an appointment or sub-cu rehydration, and some other health situations as per the treating vet's choice.
