Well, the meds for cardiomyopathy vary depending on the particulars of each case: if compressions are affected, how advanced it is, etc. With careful testing (such as ultrasound), meds, and good care the ferret's quality and quantity of life both improve. If you go to the Files section you will find part of the compilation, but sadly, many files wound up truncated for unknown reasons recently, so I advise the better options of 1. going to
http://www.smartgroups.com/groups/ferrethealth
selecting the bold print for the Complete FHL Archives and letting it link you to there and searching for cardiomyopathy posts
2. going to
http://www.miamiferret.org/fhc and reading the cardiomyopathy stuff there and
3. going to http://ferretcongress.org and using the Critical References there.

The amount of meds used changes as cardiomyopathy progresses and often enough there are further meds added. Some common meds depending on the nuances of the individual case are lasix, Enacard, Digoxin, etc.
