Could you clarify this dose? Do you mean 0.04 MG? If so, that is a very low dose. If you are referring to ML / CC then you need to find out what concentration of liquid you have there since they vary.

Ferrets usually deal much better with Pred, with fewer side effects, than many expect. There are past vet posts on this in the FHL Archives. At high doses the concern is for ulcerations, but we have had to have a SMALL female on as much as 5 mg a day (which was given in doses either twice or three times per day -- can't recall which) if memory serves.

Grand mal seizures are a known bad thing; sometimes it just makes sense to discuss trying something different (Predsilone instead of Prednisone, adding Diazoxide) with the treating vet.

I would leave a phone message with the vet today asking for a call-back to discuss medication alterations in dose, type, or added meds.
