You know, with humans, I would tend toward labelling this
psychosomatic rather than medical results, but animals don't know
you're trying to heal them with touch, or needles, or whatever. (Or
even with drugs for that matter.) Their improvement sure makes the
psychosomatic effect seem like a much less likely explanation.

This is interesting stuff; keep it coming. Perhaps there is a safer
alternative than Rimadyl for our Digger's bad hip.

Don't discard your personal observations so easily, though - for
months I thought Digger had a barely perceptible limp, but I wrote it
off as just my imagination. It wasn't until one of his legs started
trembling recently that we found out that he really WAS limping - he
has that bad hip and atrophied leg muscles from babying it.
