Kiwi is a four-year old Marshall Farms female. She is losing fur and has a
swollen vulva. My vet has never done an adrenal surgery, so I have scheduled
surgery at a very ferret-knowledgeable vet 3 and 1/2 hrs away. Her
appointment is April 17th. She has to spend the night, so I'll be staying
nearby and bringing her home the next day.

Last month Kiwi had some yellow/green vulvar discharge. My local vet put her
on amoxi for 10 days which cleared up the discharge. She has been off the
antibiotic for almost 2 weeks, and the discharge has come back.

Can this discharge be anything other than infection? Should I try to get the
surgery "bumped up" to a earlier date?

It would be very difficult for me to get the time off work before then to
take her, but it could probably be done with some major groveling to my
boss. Non-ferret owners just don't understand.

Thanks.........deena
