I have a little boy named Merrick. Merrick was part of a group of 32 surrendered by a breeder who became ill. Merrick is 3 y.o. and I've had him just about a month. He was neutered about 5 weeks ago. He has a huge osteoma on his head which Dr. x is removing next week.

He has had a CBC and chem panel and all looks fine. He appeared to be a tad bit anemic but not enough to be overly concerned. We will test him again in a few weeks. He has what appears to be 2 mast cell tumors on his right side, a blue cyst-looking thing on his prepuce (sp?) and a small knot on his tail (possibly another osteoma starting?). Other than that, he is a very active and a happy boy.

I have noticed that Merrick has an occasional sharp cough, almost as if something is lodged in his throat. Once he finishes coughing he goes on as normal. This morning, he coughed several times in a row. It is not phlegmy sounding at all, very dry, almost like a bark.

Also, he is ADV-, tested by United.

Any ideas what this coughing might be?
