Took Zoe into the vet and got everyone's shots today. The vet I saw had never done an eye pressure test on a ferret before, so she did it without charge...

The instrument she used to test the eye wouldn't give an actual reading for some reason, but she said the eye indented when pressed on, and after checking both eyes with a light said her right pupil was constricting very well. Didn't look like glaucoma, in her opinion.

She suggested opening Zoe's mouth and checking regularly for any abnormalities on that side of the mouth and jaw, and generally observing her for any apparent problems with eating or other behavioral changes.

I have seen her rubbing her head on the floor occasionally for the past few days, which she never did before (but Zan used to do all the time... and I thought it was just a funny habit of his... *sigh*).

I figure I'll keep a close eye on her for a couple more weeks, and if her eating habits or behavior changes at all (or if the eye gets worse) I'll take her in for x-rays.
