Subject: squamous cell carscinoma HELP

my ferret just had two teeth removed and the biopsy said he has Zquamous cell Carscinoma in his gums. Nobody I know has heard of this. He seems great now-is eating fine and chewing cheweasles. Is anyone familiar with this? Thanks in advance.
