I'm not sure if I am allowed to send attachments to this list. Before I
get started, Ginger will be seeing a vet about this problem.

Quick story. Went out of state for 6 days. When I returned I noticed
something with Ginger's foot that wasn't the same. I first thought she
had gotten her nail caught on something, broke her toe and ripped the
nail out. Upon closer inspection, all her toes and toenails were
intact. She has a growth growing out of the side of one of her toes.
It is taking on the appearance of another toe. Has a "toe pad" now and
an abnormal nail growing out of the tip of it, thick and hard. Upon
closer inspection tonight, she is now growing "toe nails" out of each of
her paw pads on the bottom of her foot. Ginger will be 7 Saturday. She
has been blind since just before she turned 2. Was a rescue, breeder
was still breeding her regardless of her having cataracts at a young
age. I have never seen this nor heard of this happening in a ferret
before. My guess is it will have to be removed. Any medical opinions
here?
