IF you follow Bob C's original recipe to the letter, the amount of honey
is negligable,
you can add it as well as everything else he recommends. Kibble, regular
ferret
food is full of carbohydrates, the sugar in that far outweighs any honey
added to the
chicken gravy recipe. Yes, sugary treats and sugar alone is not useful
unless the
ferret is very out of it, it can bring the sugar up high enough so the
ferret will
stop seizing-by just rubbing it on the gums. But not good idea to add
to regular diet.
High protein meals, and frequent feedings, along with medication help the
most.
