There was a statement made on today's FML that has me a little concerned. =
I feel that I have been living with a false sense of security all of this t=
ime. I thought I was properly disinfecting things and then I read this sta=
tement.
*******
>Remember - bleach and parvocides are not effective in cleaning
>porous surfaces like carpeting and cloth. They are only completely
>effective on hard surfaces.

Granted, the subject matter was disinfecting for ADV but the statement made=
is very general. I wrote the author and she stands by her statement. I h=
ave asked for documentation. I have been taught to disinfect porous (such =
as carriers, litter boxes, etc.) and non-porous surfaces by washing thoroug=
hly, spraying with a 1:10 bleach solution, and let dry. I add bleach to m=
y animal laundry to disinfect. According to this statement, I'm not accomp=
lishing anything. Is this true? If so, how do I disinfect?

I would like some feedback on this. =
