Hi all, I
too have a ferret who is up there in years. She is a light cinnamon
panda who I adopted from a private breeder. Sassy is now 9 years 3
months old. One of the other ferrets at this breeder died at the age of
11. I'm not sure if they were from the same line. I just took Sassy to
the vet last month for a check-up and was told that she is healthy. Her
blood work came back normal. Blood glucose was around 90. The only thing
she was ever sick with was the flu, courtesy of me. Although now she is
starting to show signs of hind end weakness and losing bowel control,
all is well with her. This was the reason I took her to the vet. I
wonder if letting her swim a little each week would help her hind end
weakness ? Any thoughts on this ?
Mary.
