On or thereabout 4/15/03, quatropatasecia@ieg.com.br spoke thusly:

My Ziya does something that sounds the same. She'll make a wheezy
noise, like she's gasping/'reverse sneezing' for a moment, and then
she'll make a sneeze/cough noise. If it is a known symptom of a
serious ailment, I'd sure like to know!

It seems to happen most when she first wakes up from a nap...
Although I've seen her do it once while she was eating, looking
almost like she'd gotten something caught in her throat. I've
wondered if she might be prone to respiratory bugs, but it never
seems to last more than one or two episodes in a day, maybe a couple
times a month.

Otherwise, she's a little terror... super high energy, sock-stealing,
fat, fluffy happy little critter. Not a single acute problem since I
got her a year ago.
