One of my ferrets currently has ECE and the way they decided that was that her liver enzymes were very high. So if you wanted to a do blood worup they could probably look at that. My ferret is not coughing or sneezing but she has green very watery stools and she was vomiting several times a day as well as being lethargic. Hope this helps.
