Let me see if I can fill in any blanks here. I'm totally clueless about medical terminology, so my apologies on that.

Ariel's left kidney, accroding to what my vet saw during the exploritory, was completely normal in size, shape, color, blood supply, feel, etc. The right kidney also appeared normal in all of those ways, other than it's size.

He took 3 biopsy samples from her right (larger) kidney. All of those samples came back as normal.

Bloodwork - normal.

The rest of the exploritory, from what my vet saw, was totally unremarkable. Right adrenal looked normal. Pancreas looked normal. Everything else he saw, looked normal. He felt what he thinks is a very small calcification in the spleen, but otherwise, the spleen was normal in size & all that.

My vet is out of the office & not on call this wkend, but I am wondering if the kidney is just a personal quirk on Ariel's part. Last night, as my husband was cleaning cages & I was holding Ariel, I was looking through her hair at her skin, etc, like one does, & I found a couple things on her back right foot. The large, central pad on that foot has a piece of skin hanging from it - it looks like what it looks like when you have a callus, & you accidentally get the top layer of hardened skin peeled off partially. There is no redness, swelling, or anything like that, that would indicate an infection - just that piece of skin hanging there.

We won't be able to get her into the vet's until Wed (I'm having major back surgery out of town on Mon, won't be home until then, & my husband will be w/ me). But I'm wondering if *this* is what's bothering her, & the kidney is just a coincidence.

I'll post an update once she's been to the vet.
