I just wanted to clear this up because I am a first year veterinary student and I hope one day to treat ferrets :-) The doctor I went to said that the ECE was causing hepatitis, which was causing the increase in liver enzymes. She said the hepatitis was causing the vomiting. Is this not correct? She said that testing for high liver enzymes would determine if the ferret had ECE or not.
