Subject: Very bad reaction to Distemper Shot

My rug-rocket Rascal had a very bad reaction to his shot last night. He received "United" brand Lot# FE10. Has anyone else had a problem with this lot number?
He went into a bad seizure about 45 min to 1 hour after his shot (just distemper). He was vomiting a bloody mix, 25 minutes later he had numerousness bloody stools. If not for the wonderful local shelter mom that came right over I would have lost him. She stayed until 3 AM watching over them. In all I had 10 ferrets vaccinated, three of them had reactions and all had to have Dex to counter the reactions.
Is there another brand better to use or safer? What can I do in the future to prevent this? Please email me if your not allowed to post names. I'm still new to the site and I don't want to offend the rules.
