There is also the chance that this is from intermittent low blood sugar. I think that a CBC with chemistry panel would make sense and if the vet can do an in-house blood sugar an extra reading on that which doesn't have time to be reduced by the way that ferret blood gobbles sugar when it waits a while before testing would make sense. This is a possibility that it would make sense to be able to check to see if it is in the running.
