Usually these days we don't fast a ferret before a blood glucose test unless the ferret is a questionable case and the last time (long ago) we were in that situation it was about 4 hours. We're helped by our vet having in-house glucose testing. Leave a message asking what your vet prefers for a ferret and asking the vet to place a call-back unless it is a straight-forward "no fast" situation like we have.
