There is a write-up in chordomas at the AFIP site, but it has not been coming up readily recently.

If you look in two of today's posts by Pam Sessoms you will find a trick for getting old files of sites that aren't coming up. I tried it by typing

http://www.afip.org/ferrets/chordoma.html

into the search box at

http://www.google.com and it puts up that it has a cached version, and, yes, when I click on that it truly does, so start there.

Infection is always a concern after this sort of surgery and so is having the tissue retract (which can happen later, too) so follow cleanliness and antibiotic procedures carefully, and periodically check the area throughout the ferret's life in case bone is ever exposed, necessitating a later surgery.
