Spaz, 6.5 years, has one too. At first I noticed what appeared to be a slight kink at the end of his tail. It was almost as if he caught it somewhere and broke it. It didn't bother him, wasn't painful, and didn't change for months.

Lately it started to get a little swelling on one side so my vet took a few cells with a needle and it came back as a probable chordoma. I imagine the beginning of it's growth caused the deformation of the bone at the tip that made it look like it had been broken.

In any case, due to Spaz's past history with anesthesia, we've decided to do nothing at this point. It's very small and very slow growing.

The only thing that worries me is that my vet mentioned the possibility of chordosarchoma... which I never heard of before. Has anyone else experienced this?
