Yes, Pertwee has one. Like in your ferret, in presents as a small bump, maybe half an
inch across, on his abdomen. It doesn't seem to cause him any problems. Pertwee has
a long, medically challenged history and our vet seemed to feel it was best to just leave
it alone. He doesn't want to open up Pertwee again unless it's absolutely necessary,
and in the case of this hernia he doesn't believe it is.

FWIW, Pertwee is my wildest, craziest, most active ferret. He'll be five in July. I agree
with your vet: watch and wait. Do something only if it causes her a problem.
