Hi Karin:

I am not sure as I haven't dealt with ferret blockages (knocking on wood)
but have had partial with my dog, so prehaps someone else will chime in with
other suggestions/help. But how about the possibility that the she is
blocked by something that isn't radiographically dense enough to show up on
xrays. ( I don't know if it would show up on ultrasound either). In the
case of my dog it was strings from a rope toy and the only reason we knew
there was a problem (besides not eating and vomitting) was that a section of
his intestine was slightly ballooned ( I found the string later after it had
been expelled).

You are right that she needs to change her diet. Are you using chunky
peanut butter because the peanut pieces could be causing the problem? I
would also consider switching to kitten food instead of cat because it have
more protein. I am sure that other people will give you more help on the
diet issues though.
