I would re-test his blood sugar. Ferret blood is notorious for gobbling up sugar it it waits a while before testing and not eating brings down the levels, too.

Blockages can be fatal; I'm very glad he passed it!

The current treatments for insulinoma don't usually involve gioving sugar until late in the disease when the meds don't work.

Again, I would really, really re-test his blood sugar, preferably with in-house testing done immediately after the blood is taken.
