Hi,
My 4-5 year old male, Buddy had Adrenal surgery yesterday. He has eaten a little of a mixture my friend and fellow ferret-mom made, along with about a half teaspoon of a mixture of Gerber Chicken and gravy with 1/4" of Nutri-Cal. I give him water with a syringe or on my finger, but he just doesn't seem to want to eat. I am worried about him. He has always been an extremely finicky eater, Is there a reason to NOT give him his dry food that he is used to? Would it be okay to place some in his cage along with the water bowl that is there? If it is not okay to give him dry food this early after surgery, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get him to eat. He loves raisins and will eat them like crazy, so I know he CAN eat, but I can't get him to eat the soft nutritious mixtures I was told to feed him after surgery.
