It came through... twice. :-) Keep in mind that this is a moderated list and posts don't appear until one of the moderators has reviewed the message. That doesn't always happen right away. Plus, SmartGroups has been acting up a bit lately, to say the least.

As for the weight loss... It is said that a ferret can have
up to a 30% change in weight during the seasonal changes. And you indicated his coat has changed, so it sounds like the timing is right. 3.2 pounds to 2.8 pounds is not that much. Certainly no where near 30%, though I can't say I've ever had one lose/add 30%.

I don't know if something else could be causing this, just that this is one possibility. No, you're not being paranoid. It never hurts to be observant of the changes in your ferret and asking about it.

He is the first ferret I have cared for that was under 3 when I got him. (he was 15 weeks) and is active, eating, playing and his bowels and urine look normal. His coat has also gone from winter silver to summer black, and this has happened before. Should I be worried about his weight loss?
