I have one older lady (she will be 5 this July) that does the 30% or
sometimes even more weight change. She goes from 1100 grams to 600 grams
some times. In the winter you would swear she was prego. She get fat all
over and a real cute pot tummy. Then come spring she drops to the point of
being able to count all her rids. The first few years I had her when she
did this I took her into the vets. We finally desided it was just her
normal way but still I do worry about her when she does this. I keep
thinking that if she ever gets sick in the summer when her weight is so low
that she will have nothing to fall back on.

That doesn't always happen right away. Plus, SmartGroups has been acting up
a bit lately, to say the least.

indicated his coat has changed, so it sounds like the timing is right. 3.2
pounds to 2.8 pounds is not that much. Certainly no where near 30%, though
I can't say I've ever had one lose/add 30%.

one possibility. No, you're not being paranoid. It never hurts to be
observant of the changes in your ferret and asking about it.
