Norma,
This is from Kayla, Dozers Mom:
Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of the tumor, but it looked like a=
thick black scab that kept on growing out. his could be picked off like a=
scab. I would suggest that she either pick it off
and have her vet analyze it (but it will bleed a lot, but not hurt the fer=
ret), or have it removed and then analyzed. One thing though, if the ferre=
ts foot is sore and it hurts to be touched, it might not be the same thing,=
because Dozers tumor did not hurt him at all. =

Dozer is recovering just fine after having his toe removed. She is trying =
to fatten him back up. He is using his litter box in the cage and sleeps i=
n the hammock with his buddy Chompie. She put blankets and stuff down on t=
he bottom level but he wants to do things the way he has always done. Such=
a Trooper!

Results are not back in yet on the toe. They were checking to see if the c=
ancer had spread or not. We are hoping it didn't. Dozer is only 2 1/2 yea=
rs old and very healthy and playful. =

Will let everyone know when I know something.
