A chest x-ray and/or a chest ultrasound would be useful for this ferret if there is concern that may be a heart problem beginning. We usually wind up doing both tests in such a situation but have had one who had just the ultrasound, I think.

you will find cardiomyopathy info and links which should help you if that is the problem. I would also advise clicking on the bold print that reads something like "Complete FHL Archives" on the homepage of the FHL right near the "Current Discussions" bold print to link to the Complete Archives so that you may look there for more cardiomyopathy info if that is part of the problem.
