It's true that some adrenal problems do not respond to Lupron. There's also the question of how much Lupron was given. If too small a dose, it may not have the desired effect. Results are usually seen within a month, but I've seen it take a little longer and a couple injections before hair begins to regrow.

The only blood test that will determine if the various hormone levels are high enough to indicate adrenal disease is done by the University of Tennessee. It's pretty accurate, though I don't believe there's a guarantee that it's correct 100% of the time.
