If you can find one that fits, I see no problem using one for procedures th=
at need to be done at the vet's, ear cleaning, other home treatments you ne=
ed to do that don't involve giving oral meds. It is not inhumane to muzzle=
an animal for a BRIEF period of time, in my opinion, and at the vet's offi=
ce where I work, we consider it kind of foolish not to muzzle the cats that=
really want to take our faces off and are hard to control. We do generall=
y only use them with really fractious cats, though. =

We don't have a ferret muzzle, and we have seen very few ferrets that have =
been such bad biters (we do see lots of ferrets), but it would have been ni=
ce to have on occasion; for those occasions, we have just had to use extra =
hands. One of my former coworkers did have a muzzle for her really bad bit=
er that she had gotten for vet visits only at her previous vet, and with he=
r guy, it was really helpful for trying to do bloodwork, etc.
