I thought since I was here to respond to another post anyway, I'd put a little plug in for ID Microchips. I don't think they commonly go into ferrets, as the vet had to call the manufacturer and see if it was even possible, but... I think they are a good idea. Since ferrets are so small and so wiggly, they had to be anesthetized for the chips to be put in, but, even so, it was less than $250 for all three of them together.

Just this morning, Tori, my "baby" (of the three), tried to go out the door when I came in (I think she was headed over to McDonalds for breakfast ;) ), anyway, I didn't notice her until Maddie and Howie were scratching at the front door. I scolded them and told them to go play. They went off, but the scratching continued.... I turned around to see if they were back at it, and they weren't there. Turns out, Tori was trapped between the screen door and main door. That was close!!
