Has the ferret been exposed to any kits recently? Has the ferret been in setting where there could have been exposure to ECE?

We had one who did something similar years ago and like you a pile of things were tried and testing done. Finally, in desperation we had ultrasound done of the abdomen AND thorax. There was hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which is not easy to spot on x-rays. When she was treated for her cardiomyopathy her GI symtoms went away. I have since heard of maybe 4 similar cases for how this first presented, but I have no idea why it would be.

We have also had a bad furball (with surgery needed) cause all sorts of GI symptoms (as well as liver inflamation).

When causes are mysteries serious symptoms are even more frustrating and frightening. Best of luck with this little one.
