Hello Mike,

A short time ago I was where you are now. J.J. had insulinoma and, at the =
end, lymphoma. His blood sugar was never under very good control but for t=
he few months of extra time we bought him he played with his friends and us=
, crawled into his favorite sleeping spots (even up on the sofa), curled up=
with his best buddy, played a little with his toys - he just loved his gin=
gle balls - all the "regular" ferret things if in increasingly small doses.=
=

The last week of his life he went "down hill" very fast. His lymph glands =
ballooned up, he lost control of his back legs, we had to feed him every tw=
o hours and his blood sugar still wouldn't stay up. The day before we help=
ed him leave he refused to eat, clamping his jaws tight, and got a far-away=
tired look in his eyes. His temperature kept dropping and nothing we did =
helped. =

If you can hang in with him I think he will let you know when he's ready to=
go. For me it was worth the struggle to keep J.J. going as long as he cou=
ld manage. =
