I don't know that answer completely, but it all depends on what bloodwork your vet did. I would also think the x-ray would show bones with evidence of osteoporosis. Plus, bloodwork is a general term, as is perfect. If you want to post all the results of the tests and the vets here may be able to comment further. A calcium level may not be done, and I don't think it is straight forward either, like it may only measure free calcium or ionized, but not total? Not sure about that, you can bring it up to the vet as a possibility and see what the vet thinks. patty
