Hi all

I have a new problem with Koda. On Sunday Koda got up with the other ferret=
s in our house as usual. Around an hour after being up I heard what I thoug=
ht was playing squeaking ect. I saw two of our other ferrets go running for=
the sound. I finished up what I was doing and went to go watch. When I got=
to where the sound was coming from it was Koda all by himself with two oth=
er ferrets just watching him he had gone to the bathroom and was laying in =
it and just making small squeaking noises. I picked him up and looked him o=
ver could not find anything wrong with him I gave him a quick bath to clean=
him up. While giving him the bath he slowly seemed to come around. We kept=
an eye on him the rest of the day but he seemed fine. Could something just=
have scared him in to not moving and going to the bathroom? or is this a s=
ign of something more serious? I think it is also important to point out th=
at our vet has said Koda has minor spinal damage (This is from a dog that s=
hook him that his previous owners had)She belives his hind end just doesn't=
always get the signals to move so Koda seems to hop instead of the usual w=
alk you see in ferrets We have never seen him unable to move though. Could =
this old injury have caused him to just lay there? Since he has not shown a=
ny other signs of damage/pain should we take him to our vet anyhow? What sh=
ould we ask her to look at since the symptoms went away after about 5 min?
Thank you in advance for any ideas
Jennifer
