One of my ferrets (approx. 5 yrs. old, female) has had the symptoms of insulinoma for the past 6-7 months. She gets these head shakes (nods her head up and down) and she falls on her back legs sometimes. I had her glucose checked several times and they all came back well over 70 which is good. But why these symptoms? What else could it be? The day after I took her in for her last glucose check I woke up to find her with major hairloss on her hind end (adrenal, of course) so I scheduled her for surgery and got the call that she got through the surgery fine and that both adrenals were bad and that everything else in the exploratory looked really good (pancreas, etc.). So if it was insulinoma wouldn't it have been noticable? I am so confused on what is wrong with her and I don't know what to do!! I would really appreciate any expertise on this. I have never seen this before and have no clue what it could be if it isn't insulinoma.

Thanks!!
