Hi,
I=B4m writing about a 3 year old ferret who has lost his mate about 2
months ago. Before his mate died he had a patch of hair on the side of
his neck that looked like it had been clipped with scissors, no actual
hair loss. This resolved itself. About 6 weeks ago he got a new
playmate, and they seem to have bonded really well, but about a month
ago he started displaying what the owner thinks is mating behaviour,
biting her in the neck when she=B4s asleep, holding her and making
thrusting movements. He=B4s also started biting the owner, something he=B4s=
never done before. No other signs. I would like to hear other group
members=B4 experiences. Can it be something else other than adrenal? Is it
best to open him now to check or can it be too early to see changes on
the glands?
