What is the purpose of putting four eggshells in the chicken gravy? It seems there is plenty of calcium with the bones all pureed. I ask this because a friend's ferret wouldn't eat anything else and upon exploratory surgery the vet found a few white flakes of eggshell in the intestine. I make the gravy for my friend and use a Cuisiart food processor to get it nice and smooth.
