I was wondering if anyone knew, how well can digestive or pancreatic enzymes, be absorbed by the system? I am thinking that they must be absorbed to some extent, or are they all destroyed in the acid of the stomach? I don't know if there are any studies done about this (I would think there should be), probably not studies about ferrets, but maybe they have studies about humans. So if they work for humans, they could work for animals as well. I'm thinking of buying pancreatic enzymes for my ferret, which might help her. But I like the idea more of getting a good quality one made for humans, and just give it to her at a much lower dose. I did a search in the archives, but did not really come up with what I needed to know. Any help/thoughts appreciated.

Anna.
