Subject: the British ferrets who have diarrhea

Because the site is down right now I can not look up the correct
subject to connect this to the discussion.

There are quite a number of causes of diarrhea in ferrets but i do
not know which of these are seen in Britain compared to what is seen
here or what may be seen there which isn't seen here. Your vet and
British members will be better informed for your location than I am.
Also, if the show organizers have heard from others who also
encountered diarrhea after the show then what those ferrets' treating
vets found may help your vet. What tests has your vet done so far?

Causes not yet discussed in this conversation which I have found
listed or encountered include: a problem with the food (as in food
gone bad, a stash of food or treats gone bad, food of poor quality,
food intolerance, food allergy, or eating non-food items), partial
blockage, Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis, IBD, coccidia or other GI
parasite, Proliferative Bowel Disease, Rotavirus, etc. There are a
number of possible causes. Some of the causes can be serious ones.

Certainly the results can also be serious -- from lasting intestinal
damage to kidney damage from dehydration, and on, so it is best that
your vet and the vets of any other ferrets, if any have been
reported, who may have come down sick after that show discuss this
together.
