Like i said, that was years ago and I do not know the current
veterinary thought on this topic but, yes, that was my vet's concern
at that time. We simply did not know then if her enzymes might be
low (and as it turned out that was not her problem) and he was afraid
that if we made that assumption that it could be wrong, with those
possible negative consequences. Is this still a concern or is more
known which dispels that concern? I don't know, but I would not go
by what the popular product market offers but instead check first to
make sure that such a worry has since been proven to not be worth
worrying about. Can your vet ask a veterinary consultant?
