Hi,

I found Bandit laying in the middle of the room, flat on his stomach...no =

where near his bed...he was completely life less and for a minute I thought=
=

the worst.=A0 He's in really bad shape, I took him in the yard for fresh ai=
r =

and he just lays flat there, no reaction to new sounds, smell, ect.=A0 When=
=

he's in the house, his cataracts are so bad he walks into the walls...it =

seems he can only take a few steps and then he's down again.=A0 His back le=
gs =

give out even on the carpet and his weight makes it worst.=A0 When I pick h=
im =

up he whimpers and seems really uncomfortable, his belly got so fat that wh=
en =

he goes the bathroom he goes on himself and I help him clean up.=A0 I tried=
=

putting him in the tub for exercise but he just paralyzes in the tub and =

doesn't move at all- the water goes up his nose a little- then I have to pu=
ll =

him out...He is on 1.00 pediapred 2x a day and I just recently had him on =

carafate for two weeks and an antibiotic with potassium prescribed by the v=
et =

and didn't notice any change in his behavior.=A0 He was last at the vets ab=
out =

a month ago and had bloodwork and a full checkup everything was about the =

same: the sugar was low (58-68) but has been average for him and the other =
=

blood checked out normal.=A0 He weights about 4lbs 2ounces- fat under his =

armpits and all in his abdomen.=A0 The vet thinks the weight is making him =
=

uncomfortable and pressing on his organs and that the reason for his =

whimpering.=A0 I just hope he hasn't given up, I don't want him to be in pa=
in, =

yet I can't imagine letting him go...it's hard to know if he's suffering or=
=

just tired all the time.
I have mentioned to my vet the diaxide ?? and he didn't think it was time f=
or =

it.

If anybody has any suggestions please cc: me at my e-mail address...

Thank you,

Cristina & Nick
