Hi,

Thanks to everybody for responding with suggestions on how to care for
Bandit. I forgot to mention that Bandit has something wrong with one of his
lungs- it's smaller then the other and makes it more difficult for him to
breathe- this was discovered by an x-ray taken about 6 months ago. The vet
prescribed Theophylline if his breathing was labored and a humidifier...I
don't often give him the meds because I'm thinking his inactivity is due to
the insulinoma....but I'm wondering if he's always tired and tired because of
his limited oxygen.. or decrease because of the lung situation. It's hard to
know what's labored breathing,,,Bandit always breaths on the heavy side and
somewhat loud- could this be part of the problem- with him only walking a few
steps and plopping down??? I'm not sure what to do and my vet seems to be
running out of suggestions too.

Thanks,

Christina (please cc: be directly)

I have about 50 ml of prednisolone, 15 mg per 5 ml, compounded in a
linatone-flavored base. Because of the compounding, it does not have a long
shelf life and is supposed to be refrigerated.

I will send it free to a shelter. If no shelters need it, I will provide at
low cost to any ferret owner. Please contact me if you are interested, and
we can make arrangements through our vets.
