Update- Sunday

No improvement. Still refusing fluids - they are being forced.

Heidi is now feverish and lethargic. No response to cagemate Sugarbear visiting (Heidi in separate cage)- just gave a little stretch of hind legs. Most vigorous reaction is to try to dodge syringe fed fluids.

Read some archives about mystery ferret flu, but no illness here for many months.

Someone? Anyone? ... Vets? Shelter Moms & Dads? Please tell me the truth ... what does this sound like? Is it 'fixable'? If she can have a good quality of life, then we'll do all we can, but if she will just be miserable, then we'll have to say good-bye.

What to do? What to do??? Please help?

Thanks in advance for any info.

One worried and sad ferret mommy's mommy.
