Yes, it's possible! Before he passed, I tested my Insulinomic Ferret Reuben on a daily basis (and currently test my diabetic Cat daily as well).
I use the Accu-Chek Active meter. Blood is drawn from the paw pads using the Softclix Lancet Device. With the meter I use only one microliter of blood is needed (sample size varies depending on the meter).
