Subject: need help with adrenal question

Hi,
I have posted a few days ago about a male ferret showing aggressive and
mating behaviour. It looks like he tries to mate with the other female
ferret and bites her hard. She has been showing no signs of anything
wrong until today, when her owner noticed her vulva was swollen. She may
be adrenal or possibly have an ovarian remnant, but my question is this,
could the raised level of sex hormones she has provoke sexual behaviour
in the other ferret, without anything being wrong with him, or does
there have to be something wrong with him i.e. adrenal for him to react
like this. I=B4m wondering if we mistakenly regarded him as being adrenal,
when it is her. Or are the owners just unlucky in that both their
ferrets have developed adrenal at the same time.
Anyone with any thoughts or who thinks they can help, will be greatly
appreciated. =
