Usually ferrets don't fuss with stitches but we have run into
problems with two individuals: One would try to remove stitches from
others. The other would remove her own stitches and she always
needed to have surgical glue over stitches. She'd still get many of
her stitches out despite it but the glue slowed her down enough that
the skin would have closed by then, rather than stitches being gone
within a day or three.
